White noise - Blu-ray Forum

I got a weird request. I recently had a baby and I was told that white noise is a great way to soothe a new born. Does anyone out there know where I can download some test tones with white noise?

What you would be looking for is the sound of running water I.E. a babbling brook, waterfall, rainfall, etc........... Shopping malls, casinos sometimes use fountains for this purpose.

Hi awongshing. Not a weird request atall ! I listen to Rain & Thunder most nights to fall asleep to, as I find it extremely soothing. You want to check out SleepMachines here:

They're available on either CD or on download from the i-tunes store. What I prefer about these collections over other offerings, is that they are a continual 60 minute true recording, as opposed to a sample looped over, or synthesised sounds. Audio quality is superb throughout - very impressive.

My faves are the Rain & Thunder, Rain 2(no thunder), and..... Vacuum Cleaner !

It may seem a bit odd at first, but there's quite a few of us that would find getting a bit of kip impossible without these lifesavers. They ain't just for babies lol !

Thanks for all the good suggestions. I was able to down load a CD that has pink noise on it and it works just fine. The baby loves it and it make my life easier
