Default Blu-ray.com Community Top 50 films of All Time (Please read first post)

All right folks, thought I would try something out here that I've done on other forums before.

You come up with your Top 50 films of all time. These would best and not favorite. For some people these are one in the same when they can be very different. Equilibrium is one of my favorite films, but I wouldn't consider it one of the best 50 films of all time. It doesn't belong with films such as A Clockwork Orange, The Shawshank Redemption or Seven Samurai (In my opinion ). If we want to do another thread down the road for Top 50 Favorite films, I will gladly do so.

So, ahem, onto how this works. You put together a Top 50 list. Your Top 50 will essentially be your 50 films you think should be nominated for our community list. After a certain period of time, I'll cut off nominations and put together a list that represents the Top 50 films of the users that participated. So the more that participate, the better the results.

I've made it a little easier by establishing the following scoring rules: You list your top 20 films, and those will be scored in reverse order. Example:

1 - 20 Points
2 - 19 Points
....
18 - 3 Points
19 - 2 Point
20 - 1 Point

Every film after 20 will also be rewarded 1 point. This makes it easier because you just have to arrange the Top 20, while you can list the other 30 in particular order. That cuts down on the stress a little, especially if you're trying to figure out if Jurassic Park is at number 37 or 35.

I'm thinking of keeping this going for about a week, so next Saturday I'll cut off the nominations.

I'll have my Top 50 up soon. Any suggestions or constructive criticism are welcome. Also respect other peoples lists. Opinions are just that, opinions.

I think it would take me less time to watch 50 movies than come up with an honest list.
