Default b750 disappointment

So i purchased a samsung 46b750 within 30 days ago, and it looks great and got it for a great price. But, i'm still having a nagging feeling. It doesn't help that there is a strange scratchy/clicking noise when I start it up (most likely due to a defective relay mechanism); but I dunno (by the way, I called samsung tech, they came out twice to try and repair it...). I bought a 640 first, and within that weekend I returned it for the 750, the 640 had some lip syncing and it just didn't feel right. I figured, 240hz, most expensive conventional lcd samsung has, the 750 will be the way to go... but, on 24p playback, yet again, syncing issues. So, I then assume, there really is no difference between the processing of the 120 hz versus the 240, it's just a matter of the actual processing ability. Through in a horrible input lag when not using game mode, and for 1500 bucks, something just doesn't sit right.

So my question to anyone here is, if i'm having trouble with the samsung, my faith in their LCDs is falling fast. I would rather jump ship and go for a sony. The picture quality on the 750 is great, but how does it honestly compare to some of the sony tvs. I know you can't separate blur and dejudder in the sony's but frankly, samsung's ability to separate is moot when its unwatchable due to syncing issues! Internet connectivity is nice (mainly for updates) but I don't really bother with them - too slow. So, if the sony w5100 all the way to the xbr9 (xbr8 is too pricey for me - law student) all supposedly handle the 24p motion properly, how do they look in other categories, such as black levels, color, ghosting, etc? Because, if I can find a 46w5100 that looks very similar to the z or xbr, and to the 750, but with a lower price... seems like a simple decision??
