Payback & Martyrs - Blu-ray Forum

Hi Aussies and NZers,

Has anyone here bought the local releases of Payback and Martyrs? I was thinking of picking them up next time I venture into the city, but thought I would get some opinions first on the PQ and AQ on both..

I have not seen Martyrs, but I see its quoted as 'utterly terrifying', which I very much like the sound of.

I have payback and its pretty good. Didnt mind the pq. Got it for about $25

I would say Martyrs puts you in a state of shock. You will see things in that movie that other movies were scared to show you.

Update:

Went into JB Hi Fi today and saw Martyrs, on the back it says 1080i, DTS HD 5.1 (No MA?), and just a trailer as a special feature. I could not see Payback on the racks..

Although I already the US edition of Martyrs on DVD, I would recommend the UK BD edition which is 1080p and also has more special features (making of featurette, interviews with the director and special effects artist).
