Martyrs UK release question

This is my first post here, and I have tried my best to search the forums for an answer, but I didn't find what I was looking for.

Dose anyone know if the UK release of Martyrs will play on my PS3 here in the states? I have read a lot about the fact that Blu Ray is generally region free, but I would hate to put in the order with amazon and find out it won't play.

I am crushed that they pulled the US Blu Ray release last minute, and I can not bring myself to buy anything on DVD anymore. Really loved this movie, can't wait to see and hear it on Blu Ray.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, the UK release will be Region-B "locked". Therefore, it will not play in your US PS3.

We shall have a review for it!

Got mine today and can confirm it has:
- 5.1 Dolby Digital
- 5.1 DTS HD master audio

The Back of the cover says:
- 5.1 Dolby Digital
- 2.0 Stereo

But this is incorrect. I think they took these over from the dvd by mistake.

Watched a...ahem, torrent version tonight and promptly ordered the BR version just after the end credits. Can't wait to get it. I'll rip it and post some 1080p captures in the screenshot thread next week for those of you interested.

Anyone know if the Optimum Home Entertainment BD release of Martyrs is region free? I live in the US and really want to get this on BD and want to make sure it's playable on my US PS3 before I shell out the money to import it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Neither version is region free. Might have to go with the dvd for now or fork over the cash for a new player.

Now that its out, has this been confirmed Region B locked? I know it's very unlikely given the above, but since that time of preview the picture seems to have been given a boost judging by reviews, so there's a flicker of hope
