Have you experienced any trouble with your PS3?

For me- A few minor lockups because of my Bluetooth headset. Nothing major at all.

My controller has gotten stuck or turns itself off, but that doesn't happen all that often, and only when I play a game for a while. Other than that nothing to complain about.

The only real problem that I have had is that sometimes the PS3 cannot find my computer so I can stream music, etc. Every once in a while I will turn on my PS3 and there will be no server detected. It does this for a few days and then all of a sudden appears again. This gets kind of annoying.

The only other thing that bothers me is download speed of things from the PS Store. Sometimes is goes quick sometimes it takes forever.

The only problem I have is when my controller shuts off. But that usually only happens when I start banging it on the floor when I'm playing Resistance online or Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

No problems at all, works like a charm all the time. Fast and reliable and a lot of fun. Use it for Videogames, as Blu-Ray player, Mediacenter, DVD player.

firmware 1.3 caused a few freezes during BD playback...but that was everyone. That has been long gone ever since like fw 1.5 & up. It's been totally flawless!

I only had two movie play back freezes. Nothing else.

No problems at all with all 3 units. (2 NA, 1 JPN)

Mine froze up twice during the initial setup. Occasionally I'll have a second or two where the controller seems to lose sight of the console and my character will just keep walking in one direction, and then the controller seems to figure it out and goes back to normal. Other than that, nothing too major. The freezing on setup wasn't very encouraging, but it's gotten better and better with each update.

Motostorm will crash back to xmb if I turn my BT headset off during online play. Call of Duty online freezes sometimes, but that is probably server side.

the only time i had a problem was when i tried cancelling the (LONG awaited) worldwide server update on RFOM while it was patching. froze up.

i consider that partially my fault and partially soe's/insomniac's fault though, not the ps3's fault.

I have not played any Blu Ray Games but I watched Blu Ray movies on it. I have a 1080i TV so naturally I set it for HDMI 1080i picture. My Blu Ray movies were funny some times they would have dark bands and other scanning lines through the picture. "What the **** I have a 1080i TV it should work correctly" I was going to box up the PS3 and take it back but then I switched too 720p resolution I thought my TV did not support 720p resolution. But I tried it the PS3 accepted it so I tried it problem fixed. Freakin Sweet.

I never really had much of an issue with my PS3 but it just overheats and then when i play a game to long it will say on the screen your ps3 is way to hot you need to shut off the ps3 right now so it can cool down. Downloading speed is way to slow but i guess that is expected since each download is over 200 mb when you download from the Playstation store. Also i still have a hell of a time doing that transfer ps3 games, ps1, and ps2 games to psp and vice versa but that might be my fault since i dont really know what im doing when im trying to do that.

NONE. PS3's faulty rate is just 1%. Compared to Wii (0%), and XBOX360 (33%)

Nothing yet through 4 games and probably 40 BD movies. I've owned the PS3 since launch day.

Couple game freezes but that's probably game bugs and not the system itself. However, I do have the intermittent controller issue where it gets a mind of its own for a few seconds - pretty annoying playing F1, in particular.

Nothing to speak of besides beta software which I fully expect to freeze/crash out and the RGB Full Range option not staying 'Full' until a minor system software update was released quite quickly afterwards.
