Default Did anyone call Warner regarding canceled order?

First all, I noticed most "Warner" threads have been closed. I know there were some heated discussions going on, but I do think it would be beneficial to keep some of those threads open so we can discuss strategies and success rates regarding having to deal with Warner to return the "canceled" orders.

So, to get to the subject matter. Has anyone tried calling Warner today yet? If so, what was the outcome?

Default I didn't

I didn't call Warners -- and I got two Blu-Rays even though I canceled the order more than two months ago. You could give them away to9 the homeless shelter that has a Blu-Ray player. Or just take them to Wal-Mart or Best Buy and switch them out for something else.

Seriously, don't look for anything serious on this message board. And don't look for any news or anything critical of Warner Bros. here because the BOZO who runs this message board will probably nuke it.

He (or she) nuked comments from me a couple of weeks ago and sent me a terse message threatening to kick me off the boards (ooooo, I'm scared!!!). Ad mine wasn't half as bad as the comments posted much of Christmas day on the Warner Bros fiasco. You had postings sduggesting you keep thediscs and the gjhell with Warner -- and they stayed on the board. Geez, what I posted two weeks ago wasn't nearly as bad.

Oh, and don't expect tp see anything else from me after this post because I guarantee the next time I log in there'll be a message waiyting telling me the Board Gestapo has kicked me off.

I'm sorry for Warners. They should go Blue exclusive and stop the foolishness that's happening no doubt because of the dual format relase. And good riddance to this board.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
HAPPY NEW YEAR

^^^^^

Sounds like someone got a big lump of coal in their stocking this year.

The the OP. No, I haven't called Warners yet. I will later today and inquire about the shipment that was sent to me and what to do with it. Depending on their answer, I'll either keep it and let them bill me for it (and try to trade it here or somewhere), or send it back if they'll send a prepaid mailer. What they sent me I had already ordered and received from Amazon.

I just got off the phone with Warner. No apology for what happened. AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY OWN RETURN SHIPPING!

Apparently, since I already opened the package, I can no longer just simply return to sender. So now I have to return the f**king discs on my own dime, and maybe-- MAYBE-- they'll reimburse me for it. And they do not have prepaid mailing labels.

They were neither apologetic nor helpful. I told them I would never do business with them again. And I warned them that there will be many people calling with this problem, and some of them will be a lot angrier than me.

Okay, I tried to do the honorable thing. Now, I think I'll just keep their free discs and cancel my credit card. What are they going to charge then?

F**kers.

Are you serious?

When you say you opened the package, do you mean you opened the UPS box, or did you open the blu-ray?

If this is indeed their response, I am shocked to say the least.

I assume you have not yet been billed for those discs?

Someone made a a good point in one of the other threads. Since they seem to be so unorganized; I am afraid they'd bill me even if I send them back. I will try to give them a call shortly as well.

When I opened the UPS box, not the discs. The discs are still sealed. Sorry if I wasn't clear-- writing out of anger, you know.

Funny, the return label is in the box. How are we supposed to get at it without opening it?

No, not billed. In fact, I originally placed this order on September 18 and canceled it on October 2. It was for ten movies. On October 4, I received two out of those ten but did nothing about it. They were processed and shipped AFTER I canceled on October 2, and I still haven't been charged for those two! Then, on Monday, 12/24, I received four more out of that order, nearly three months after cancelation. Something tells me I'll never be charged for these, either.

The funny thing is, the woman at Warner did not seemed shocked or dismayed at all by my story.

bferr1,

Did you get the impression that if you hadn't opened the box you could've return it without being charged? Depending on how you opened the box, you might be able to reseal it cleanly. I would do that and then call back.

I work in mail order electronics, if they did not want you to get it they have to contact you before delivery with a tracking number and tell you to refuse shipment, the UPS guy or gal has to take it back once you refused it and Warner would then have to pay shipping back. I would ask for a UPS call tag since they screwed up, which I know they can do but will they?

Yes. The woman said that if the UPS box was unopened, I could just return to sender. Since I opened it, I now have to return it on my dime, and maybe they might reimburse me.

It was one of those cardboard UPS mailer boxes that opens up by pull tab. There's no way to reseal it convincingly.

What utter tripe. The home page of this site has several stories about Warner screwups.

There is big difference between discussing the issue (there is a STICKY thread for that), and discussing strategies to foist unwanted free discs or Warner messups onto other stores.
