PS3/Mac File Sharing App released - Blu-ray Forum

I know I've seen several people in the past few months comment on their desire to have seamless file sharing between their Mac and PS3. I, for one, have definitely been waiting for something like this.

Well it seems as if Nullriver has released their PS3 version of "Connect360" for Mac OS X. A free trial is available and there is also a pretty good FAQ to answer your questions.

any idea how i get this program for my playstation 3?

The program works great except for one thing. Either my PS3 or the application will not recognize the AAC audio codec. Only MP3's show up. Looks like this is only a partial solution for me.

OK...There was an update already and AAC is working great. So far I am very happy.

Now...

Is there a way to get album covers to display that are not embedded in the actual file? Most of my album covers are the higher rez ones from iTunes. They do not display.

Also, what is the asterisk that is displayed by the song titles? Is this just an indication that the songs are being streamed?

Otherwise, this app is great and there is no real reason for me to use the hard drive for CD's.

So, despite the fact that it will not play DRM encoded songs, is this product worthy of a mac user/ps3 owner purchase?
