Default Blu-Ray DVD Player

I just purchased a Sony Blu-Ray DVD player. My Samsung HD TV is a little older and does not have a connection for the HD cable. Can I connect the HD cable from the DVD player to my DVR. Let me know. Thanks, Keven

Default Blu-ray DVD

My TV is a Samsung HD 1080i the Model number is HC-5245W.
My tv has a Digital Visual Interface. I am not sure if I need an adaptor to connect to the DVD player or if I can connect through my DVR. Let me know what you think. Thanks for your help. Keven

You can buy a converter for the HDMI to DVI or get a premade cable. I know bluejeanscable.com sells molded end DVI to HDMI. You'll get video only and have to use the analog outs or the coax/optical out for audio. What BD player?

Best Buy sells an HDMI-DVI cable.

its $50 which I think is overpriced...if you dont want to spend that much at the store, you should consider getting one online. Bluejeans cables or Monoprice cable.

Actually Walmart sells an HDMI-DVI cable for $20.
