Default Help me pick a TV :) Sony, Sammy, or Panny - Plasma or LCD

Which of these do you think are better (or has the least amount of flaws)?
My budget for the TV is $2500; I need a 50+" with the best picture for the money (obviously).
Use: DirecTV HR20-700 (HD & SD), PS3/Blu-Ray/sDVD, Wii, Xbox 360; all run through an Onkyo 805, 1 HDMI cable to TV.

Samsung FP-T5084 (50" Plasma)
Sony KDL-52W3000 (52" LCD)
Panasonic TH-50PZ750U (50" Plasma)

I dont know a lot about the Sony model above but I really liked the picture; I am researching it now.
I was also considering the Sony KDS-60A3000 (which is a very nice RP) but it wasnt doing it for me; whites were dark, maybe a bad bulb but I prefer to stay away from the RP anyway (it was deffinatly the king of the RP's at BB though).

Help me decide and tell me why, or why not!

Panasonic TH-50PZ750U
Sony KDL-52W3000
Sony KDS-60A3000
Samsung FP-T5084

In that order.

Why Sammy last (bad TV's or bad suport, or both; I've only ever used Sony's and never had a problem, but I am willing to give another brand a try)?
From the flaws listed in the cnet review the Panny seems to have the most, and I was pretty impressed with the Samsung, especially the price.
I was unable to see the Panny locally, but other similar pannys I tested seemed to lack any burn-in menu options.

I had actually planned to get the XBR4 52" version (I talked to Sony sales yesterday and the guy gave me a good deal), but I dont like the panels frame so that is why I am buying a cheaper TV for now, I plan to get a new Sony in the next year or two; I like the new 2008 slim black frames and then I can wait for the price to drop.

I can find very little info on this TV but it really got my attention.
Can you tell me some basics about it
Is it HDMI 1.3, 60 or 120hz, does it do 1080p/24, contrast ratio, etc.
How long have you had it?
Seems like a lot of people got a real good deal (around $2200) and a free blu-ray player with it; Amazon has it for $2400 I think.

Thanks

Pretty much both; for me its the thinner the better.
I like just plain black thin frames so they dont take away from the picture.
I was very close to pulling the trigger, bur decided against it since it would bug me.

I can't believe you don't have a Pioneer Kuro on your shortlist! Add the Pioneer, with the Panasone '750 a close second.

As for which technology: friends don't let friends do LCD. :-)

Getting this one in a week. If the TV will be in a room with a bunch of light go with the Sony LCD. If it will be in a dark room like mine will be (basement) go Plasma.

I'd get a 60A3000. No LCD will touch it's black levels or contrast ratio at the resolution and size for that money. Neither will plasma unless spending thousands more...

go with one of the new sony rear projection screens. they have 1080p, 120hz, hdmi 1.3, etc. all for a very good price. only issue is you can't hang them on the wall.

invisible clouds or ghosting is common. sometimes its even your eyes adjusting to the light when you turn it off.
