Wink Question about audio quality

Hi, I am brand new to these forums and wanted to know what the thoughts are on the sound quality I am actiaully getting.

I have Samsung BD-P1400 Blu-Ray player (HDMI 1.3) and a Yamaha HTR6060 (HDMI 1.2a). I do understand that my BR Player will decode DTS-HD MA and the Dolby equivilent but my receiver will only do DTS 96/24.

I have HDMI from the Blu to the Receiver and from Receiver the my 52" samsung LCD 5265F. The picture is great, the sounds is very good, but what is the audio I am getting? Is it 96/24 or just digital 5.1 or analog 5.1? Purchased all three components December 29th and I will have to wait to get a 1.3 receiver in a few years but how big of a difference are we talking? Speakers are PSBs (Bookshelves) Front and Back, with a Sony Center and Subwoof.

As long as your BD player is set so it decodes the audio and sends a PCM stream to your receiver, you should be getting the lossless audio.
