Default Power Conditioner

I have a Denon 3808CI receiver and Focal speakers. I am looking to get a power conditioner and was wondering what would be a good option. I was thinking about getting a Monster MP PRO 5100. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Belkin Pure AV or something like that.... I got one and it works great. I also have a Monster Power-Center. If I had to do it again, I'd get two of the Belkins rather than the Monster I have..... $300 is just too much for what it is.

or

also check out Panamax.

Furman is completely unmatched as far as power conditioners. I am completely thrilled that the knowlegable people of our community did not jump on and say "monster power".

Furman make obscenely good stuff and is the music industry standard for clean power.

I agree, but it's been proven he's a racist..... oh wait...

Honestly though... I didn't suggest Furhman, because for what equipment etc. the OP has, I was targeting an estimated budget (and compared to the Monster brand, attempting to find a cheaper, yet better alternative)

Furman makes GREAT stuff though, this is true. There is also another company called "APC" or American Power Conversion (I think) that makes good stuff.

I bought the Monster 1600, reconditioned, directly from Monster.com for $200 (list $300), free shipping, no tax.
It has plenty of protected outlets on the back, and a voltage indicator & system status indicator lights on the front.
Very satisfied!

The only thing I use from Monster Power is their Reference Power Centers. I wouldn't recommend using Monster for cables, but they do make good power conditioners. They do work really well, and have protected my equipment through a serious power surge. They also cleaned up a lot of video and audio interference as well. I live near an independent radio station, and they cause all sorts of interference.

My home theater room has a Monster Reference Power Conditioner HTS 3500 Mk II, and I use the HTS 2500 Mk II for my 2 channel SACD listening room. Both have noticeably reduced the noise floor and cleared up video noise as well. The 3500 MkII, or it's replacement the 3600 MkII, work really well. The 3500 received the Editor's Choice Award from The Absolute Sound. Here's a link to their review page, where you can download the full review.

APC is probably the biggest name in that particular industry. I trust their products and went with an APC H15 for my HT.

Default APC works for me`

I have a APC AV Black J Type 1.5kVA Power Conditioner with Battery Backup.

I live out in the country side and our electrical sevice suffers from continuous brown outs and complete outages on a regular basis. My APC unit has enough power to run my whole system (Denon receiver, subwoofer, PS3 and a a ScreenPlay 5700 projector) for 10 minutes.

That gives me plenty of time to ignore the brownout or shut down the system if I think it might be necessary.

You can also probably order it through a local computer shop. Their markups are probably lower than your local home theater shop too.

Do not buy a monster power conditioner!!! Overpriced and so many other power conditioners out there that will do just as good if not a better job for 1/2 the price!!! Take a look at Tripplite...

I have Panamax 5400 on my Denon 3808CI, and it works very well. Furman I know are very good, Richard Grey Powercenters are probably the best, but likely way over kill, Monster is actually quite good for powercenters, but still a little overpriced for their benefits. Belking/PureAV are good for a lower budget, not really the best for performance in my opinion.

Can anyone suggest some good models from Furman? I heard that their lower end models were not "true" power conditioners. I'm looking to spend less than $600.

I recently (as in, two days ago!) installed a Furman Elite 15 PFi. Seems to be a very nice piece of kit, certainly worth its price.

I was considering the Monster HTS 3600 MK 2, but reading about their deplorable business practises (e.g., sueing Blue Jeans Cable) here gave me pause. I spoke to the guy I bought my PFi from (he's also a Monster dealer), and he said that the Monsters have more "bling" whereas with Furman your money goes into the important stuff: power conditioning.

I've had a Furman unit in my guitar rack for many years now and I'm the only person I know who's never had a piece of rack gear fail. I suppose I could just be lucky but ....

I just picked up a panamax 5300m and need to know which outlets on the panamax to plug my devices into. I have 2 emotiva amps, denon avr, blu ray player, cable box, apple tv and amazon fire tv.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
