Okay this may be a dumb question but.........

I was thinking today how I figured SOMEBODY had gone to the trouble and edited together all the cutscenes from God of War into an xvid file.

Same with GOW 2 and also wondering if anyone would have taken the task of converting and editing together the ENTIRE thing from beginning to end for GOW1 and 2. Including the gameplay and cutscenes.

At first I thought this would be ridiculous because it's supposedly a 10 hour game on average, but I beat it in about six, and I have read of people doing speed runs where they beat the game in like 2 hours or so.

I can't imagine that, but then again I suck at video games.

Anyone know if this has been done and where I could get it if it HAS been done?

Just cause you don't beat a speed record in finishing a game does not mean you suck at them. Cause them I would super suck at games as I usually take so much more hours than the average. I just like taking my time as I'm not paying 50 or 60 euros to "rush" the game. As for editing a complete video walkthrough if I understood you correctly, that would still make a many hours long video to watch.

If your Tv provider has Gameplay HD, check it out sometimes. They do something like this for many games. They give you the main story, maybe avoiding a few spoilers, and intermix cut scenes and short bursts of gameplay. I dont know if they've done GOW yet, but its worth checking out.

Gameplay TV has done this and they have done GOW already. Not sure if they have done GOW2 yet though.

I don't think he means anything about beating the game. I think he's looking for the CUT SCENES edited together in a movie format...

I saw it done with Final Fantasy 12... But never GOW.

Once you finish the game you get the option of watching all of the cut scenes straight through in one of the menus.

Let me simplify what I was asking. lol

I was imagining someone who had recorded them playing the entire game from front to end and basically posted up the video of the entire run through the series. not necessarily a speed run, i just used the speed run comment to point out that it wouldn't necessarily be the average of 10 hours worth of footage.

And there's sites like "stuckgamer" that have the entire thing split up into individual segments for walkthroughs (Lord knows that helped me through the two games at times).

I just figured everything else seems to be ripped and converted to .avi files and posted on the internet, why not THAT?
