Default My Model BDP-S500 Sony is freezing up

I purchased my Sony Blu-ray player approximately 8 months ago. I have installed all the firmware updates as they become available the most recent one version 4.10. I have never had any problems with my player whatsoever. Yesterday I purchased WALL.E in Blue-ray and approximately one fourth through the movie it froze up. I tried playing it again and got about half way through the movie before it froze up again. I assumed that I just got a bad disc but when I put in another new "standard" DVD movie it froze up too! I tried playing another Blu-ray movie that I have played before without any problems and it worked fine. Is it possible that I have two new movies that are defective or do you think there is an underlying problem that I should be concerned with?
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS...

First off, I have the Sony 300, and upon updating it once since summer of 08, haven't had any problems. However, I put Wall-e on recently, and it did freeze up about halfway through. I haven't tried again since, but yep, it froze. It did play fine the first time though, so I'm guessin' it was just a glitch?

Hi there,

I have the S500 since January, no updates at all, slow loading for Disney discs but never froze to me. I have like 25 bluray discs, never play DVDs with it.

Yet I don't have the Wall.E, I understood that this particular disc/movie makes problems (chapter 25 or so) !!! I want also to get it, but I might reconsider.

Regards
Ninel
