ps3 keeps flashing a white light

this happens all the time but its random. it rarely happens when im playin a game. it happens more noticeably wen im watchin a movie. but i happens the most wen im playin music on my ps3. its kinda of hard to explain exactly wat happens but its like the ps3 had a hiccup and it shows up on my tv and its like the screen jumps and it will either go out completely or a big white bar or slash will appear for like half a second and the audio will go out. anyone else havin this problem? i check to see if my hdmi cord was loose but it wasnt at all...

Seriously though it sounds like a handshake problem with your HDMI connection.. which I am guessing you are using. If this occurs when jumping into a movie or game, it could be a system thing, I know when I start a movie, a PS2 game or something the system like reboots to load that OS and y ou will get a quick flash on the screen.

if it is happening during normal play, it seems like a HDMI connection issue.. may try to re-sync your cable. Could also be a receiver issue.. Some receivers seem to reboot a connection when you have an auto-detect source selected and the source may be changing...
