Default I got the new Marantz 8002 for holidays

Got the Marantz 8002 Blu Ray a week before Christmas. Picture is awsome right out of box. All movies (BD) load and start playing within 30 seconds of loading. If any of you have seen the hard drive playing the seens of Italy on the Sonys on display at Circuit City and HH Gregg and stood there in amazement this is what I am seeing on the Marantz. Hancock, 10,000 B.C., Bucket List, Iron Man, No Reservations, Saraha, all load and play with absolute life like clarity. After eight months of research I think I've found the one.

Belive me i was looking at Marantz and Pioneer . One of the biggest reason i pick the yamaha player is because of the reciever i own

I have a Marantz Receiver but I looked hard at the Denon, Sony ES and Yamaha. I bought the Marantz because of the build quality, the Realta chip and the three year warranty. Marantz has been around a long time and always put out great products.

The Realts chip? can you explain this please. What does this chip do for your player? Is the Marantz the only player that uses the Realts chip.

THANK YOU

By the way,3 year warranty.Awesome

Welcome to the dark side.. LOL The Bd-8002 is an awesome machine , Some Blu movies don't like it . like Universial's but hey the pic is perfect , as is the sound ,,I also use it for cd(music) play back for now & it rocks, Congrats on your new player, If you get a chance see what Frimware version you have, & Let us know, I'm a Marantz fan, I 'm just finsihing up my Reff, system ,almost done I going with the DV-7001 fo the SACD playback , then move from a Klipsch 10" sub up to a 12" Klipsch sub then I can say I'm 99% done.. Got all new Monster Z2R reff, speaker cables for myself for Xmas and the wife got me the ZBass 100 Subwoofer cable for Xmas , Now you want build quality these cables are nice , and belive me you can here the difference , my wife even told me me it sounded better now , and that alot coming from her,, , I know alot of guys hate Monster cable, but I like the product , any ways cool on your score, sandman

The Realta chip is the same chip they use in the Hollywood film projectors. It reads the picture just as it was recorded. The only two players that are licened to have it are the Marantz and Denon.
