I think I care more about that aspect of the deal than the idea of X-Men teaming up with the Avengers.

Jesus, you are letting a little wild fire get in your way? I thought I had heard every excuse imaginable.

I have the Silver Screen Edition sitting on an external somewhere but haven't yet gotten around to watching it.
I love the despecialized editions, but the Silver Screen is my favorite. I wish they could have completed Empire and Jedi. The Adywan versions of Star Wars and Empire are quite good as well.

Silver Screen is a scan of a film print, so looks more filmic and grainy. Despecialized is closer to how the Blu-rays look I believe. I’ve skimmed through the Silver Screen and love the look of it. I shall watch it soon!

There are scans of Empire and Jedi prints out there. They're called the "Grind House" versions.

EDIT: all movies come with some kind of "Exclusive Bonus Disc." Dunno what it is.

I used to want the ESB steelbook so bad for the cover, but this I’m not as big a fan of

Love me some Phantom Menace. But if you're talking about the DVD specifically -- yeah, it's rough.

Just started my marathon to build up to Ep VIII next week by watching Phantom Menace today. And you know, I just can't help it, but I actually like it.

Yeah yeah, I know the internet constantly tells me that I'm supposed to hate it, despise it, revile it, shun it, puke on it, claim it did nasty things to my childhood, etc etc etc.

But by golly, I still think it's fun, specially the pod-race, the end duel, and John Williams' brilliant score. Oh sure there're parts I could do without here and there, and yes, Jar Jar is annoying, but to me it's still most Star Wars-y looking of the prequels.

Tomorrow, AOTC!

(btw... if Disney buys Fox, then does that mean we could potentially get the 20th Century Fox intro reinserted on the digital copies of Eps 1-3 & 5-6, or would it mean that we'd for sure lose it on Ep 4?)

I'm hoping it means all STAR WARS flicks will retain their original 20th Century Fox logos... PLUS add logos to the new episodes. Too much to ask, I know, but hey...
