So leave all the options blank? What use do they offer, for more experienced people then?

If we're talking about the same section (and I'm still a little iffy on that) you can create a preset for the receiver to output audio with a specific listening mode. For instance, if you change DD 5.1 to "Orchestra" for instance, it'll always apply the Orchestra listening mode when it receives a DD 5.1 signal.

Okay, thanks that clears that up. However, I'm somewhat baffled by this. I've got them all set to "last working or whatever" and multichannel set to multichannel pcm.
Yet the display keeps showing "TV Logic" How do I change this? I was also under the assumption during a Dolby digital soundtrack, it'd say so on the display, but mine doesn't.

Hell I even tried a True HD Blu-Ray earlier, and that only showed DTS, rather than true HD.

Ah good- we're talking about the same section. Instead of selecting "last working", select Dolby Digital. Same for the others. Make them be the same thing and it'll do what you want.

As for the TrueHD/DTS, either the right audio wasn't selected, or the output format was wrong (bitstream selected when the player can't bitstream HD audio). What kind of player do you have?

Sony PS3. It was odd, as the info panel on the PS3 displayed DTS-true HD, (not the exact term, etc) but it only showed DTS on the panel. I had it all set to linear pcm out, connected by HDMI.
Oh and in relation to setting the options to what they are, Dolby Digital to Dolby digital, etc. What do I set them to when the title of them isn't a selected option? Half of them list loads, but are never there. PCM/Analogue for one.

If it's displaying anything but "Multich" on the receiver, then something's not right. You may want to go back and double-check your settings on the PS3 and make sure it's sending out LPCM and not bitstream via HDMI.

I'll have to look at my 605 settings when I get home.

Seems odd. Anyway, I'l sort it out, I'm more annoyed at the Sky Box. Still is telling me its something logic, rather than what I tell it to be. I've tried outputting audio via HDMI and optical, and it still is playing silly buggers.
I'm assuming with a 5.1 soundtrack, the Player should show the Dolby Digital logo in red, with a D next to it?
Because it doesn't seem to.
