Yeah, there were some dark lit scenes and hard to follow battle sequences.

Appreciate the huge undertaking of this task they took upon themselves and the more intimate non-battle heavy scenes were far more superior.

This episode played it too safe. We only lost four characters. None of which were major/key players in Game of Thrones’ own “endgame.”

There were a few great moments and some high tension scenes sprinkled throughout.

And that ending? A total waste. Missed opportunity. Complete fan service. I mean, seriously? You have
[Show spoiler]Arya defeat the Night King?? I love her character, but it was completely eye-roll of a moment.

Honestly. Battle of the Bastards was a far better episode.
I always considered the Battle of the Bastards to be a let down and the whole idea of waiting for his dogs to eat him to be not quite as bad as Ramsay deserved. It was clearly a nod to what happened at Helm's Deep but that battle was done far better.

I didn’t have a problem making out faces. Every time they highlighted a major character they were quite visible.

I felt like every major battle to date was better done, even Hardhome, which I personally didn't like very much. Blackwater, Castle Black and Battle of the Bastards blew this one away. Battle of the Loot Train as well.

Yup wayyy superior direction and intensity in the battle and how they got surrounded, etc.

I'm a tad bit let down with how the army of the dead is out of the picture now. Would have been nice to get more answers on what exactly their whole deal is. I was thinking that they were the final piece to the puzzle, not King's Landing.

I feel bad for y'all if you couldn't appreciate that episode. I've never seen war sequences done quite like that with those nihilistic horror undertones. Great score, great direction, amazing stuff.

Overall, I did enjoy the episode. But I'd by lying if I didn't say I was a little disappointed. I thought there was a bit of a cop out in terms of
[Show spoiler]major character deaths
. Several situations where characters were in almost impossible situations and they escaped.

I highly doubt that. She still has a dragon. That alone is more critical to beating Cersei than the rest of the remaining armies combined.

Thought it was known for awhile now episode 3 would be the end of the dead and the last 3 episodes would decide the fates of our favourite characters and the 7 kingdoms.

If you watch the show for big battles I can understand being letdown. But the Night King and White Walkers were never the main focus. It’s about the throne and they obviously aren’t interested in that. I’m just happy Cersei is the main villain and we’ll get some good character stuff in the second half.

I didn't like how they wiped out Daenerys' forces or how you couldn't really see anything but other than that, I enjoyed the episode.

We're on to Cersei. She's going to regret not helping in the war of the dead. Going to be glorious seeing Cersei get whats coming to her.

I do think the kingdoms will react once they hear Cersei hid behind her high walls while the North and the Targaryens bled for them.

.
It was set up in season 3 on the show and a few prophecies in the books I think imply it.
