Yes, you’re correct. She used the Valaryan blade from Caitlyn/Littlefinger/Bran, and Valaryan steel is the only thing that can “undo” The Night King.

I loved this bit. He had PTSD with fire, but instantly jumped in when he saw Arya in danger.

He rescues her and she's like, ok brb.

Bran said from the start that he was the bait, but he simply couldn't just be there. He needed to make seem like he was trying to stop the NK. He knew Arya would succeed, but couldn't just sit and do nothing. The NK would have suspicious he wasn't warging till the last minute.

Melisandre reminded Arya of her training with Jaqen and the Faceless Men. After she knew what she had to do, she went to Godswood and waited for NK. I imagine she took the face of a wight. Then when the moment was right she removed it and went after the NK. We do see wind blow one of the WW before we see NK start to grab his sword and Arya flying in behind him.

I wasn't sure what to think of the episode. I was disappointed at first since I expected more, or I overhyped myself. I didn't think the tactic in the beginning was good/smart for Dany/Jon. I liked the atmosphere of all hope seemingly lost, but at what cost? It seems like all or most of the Dothraki and Unsullied were killed. So, will they even have enough to take Cersei?

? When did she plan independence for 7 kingdoms, she was just headbutting with Sansa about bending the knee and who is who's queen. She did say break the wheel, but based on her actions, I doubt that includes independence for 7 kingdoms, she came back to reclaim what she thinks is hers.

The necklace I thought was to hide her true look. She was an very very old lady (not sure of her age) who was kept alive by the lord of light like Beric was to fulfill her role in helping Arya.

Well the Best rated ep and best recieved ones are the ones with whitewalkers and dragons so the show should have the same spirit of that too. There need to be a great supernatural threat ect.

I was expecting better. I do have a good tv, still, about 15 mins in had to crank up the brightness, but didn't help much.

I still don't understand utterly dumb moves the living(well, producers and writers) made at the beginning.

Dothraki pretty much committed mass suicide. Seriously, what was that? What was the point, they all knew the enemy outnumbered them by very significant margin. What were they smoking?

A lot of lives lost in front of the trenches, just to retreat, which begs the question what the hell were they doing there at first place? Nobody knew defense is easier behind the walls, elevated position, etc? At least stay behind the obstacles you built last week?

Apparently, Undead read the script too, because they knew exactly which character to hold by neck at arms length and wait, (or move closer for convenience and then wait some more, Lyanna vs. giant) to get themselves killed, vs. indiscriminate, non stop frenzy killing of everyone else.

I did expect more characters to die, but not really upset about that. By now GOT isn't the same as in S1-S5, so whatever, just 3 episodes left, plot armor it is then. Hopefully it's still fun.

They had a front line established so the entire battle wouldn't be fought right outside their only strength other than dragons, a fortified vantage point. They underestimated the dead clearly but I understand it. The dothraki are a proud warrior race, charging at the enemy shouldn't be surprising or defy logic.

In the books at least in one place necklace is implied to be more than that, by protecting her from cold.
I was very curious about the whole lord of light thing, and wouldn't mind to learn more about Melisandre's backstory too, but alas we'll never get that now.
In general it sucks, bunch of supernatural beings introduced and then killed off without any significant exposition/details or story.

I agree with you on the underestimated part. Based on what we saw, I'd say severely underestimated, despite 8 seasons of "winter is coming" and actual, first hand experience.
The whole point of building fortifications, trenches and obstacles outside of the wall would be to effectively use them, which would be as simple as standing behind said fortifications and obstacles, not in front of those?

Proud warrior doesn't mean mindless berserker, as in some intelligence is required, otherwise those proud warriors last 30 seconds and they sure would've been a lot more useful during the battle inside the walls.
I mean, Dothraki do have their reputation which was apparently well deserved, but I seriously doubt if they kept charging like that in every battle there would be any left to join D.T. at first place. They just got dumbed down for no good reason.
