Battlestar is pretty much my favorite TV show ever.... this is horrible. Erg...
You should watch the original, and see the way it was supposed to be

The new one is a blasphemous abomination that if I were Bill Gates, I would have bought Universal instead of NBC and burned every master tape, and then kicked David Eick and Ron Moore out the door. Literally. Boots in the ass.

See the Bryan Singer BSG revival that should have been, that was respectful and loving of the original while still modernizing it, where it was "next-gen"'d, instead of raped and twisted. Where more than just the proper nouns were the same. See all the good ideas that were in there from the Abomination that Ron Moore threw a hissy fit when he found out that DeSanto had them first.

"Bryan Singer's intent is to be very faithful to the spirit and legacy of the original show.... to creatively to go forward in time as the saga has continued in his mind... He is not looking to take it in any direction that would be disappointing to fans of the original show... Bryan and Glen sat down. We wanted to make sure this union was very blessed by Glen. ... He has blessed this and wants to see it go forward. ... We want to make sure that respect is paid. ... It's waited some 20-odd years to be reborn. We're committed to doing it right."
As opposed to Ron Moore's burning hatred for the original. The fact that he didn't watch more than the movie version of the pilot episode before "re-imagining"(AKA doing whatever the hell he wants) should tell you all you need to know. The wild assumptions he made to fufill his own sexual fantasies (no strong women characters, well Ron, had you watched episode 2.......), and the complete changing of even basic character roles proved this show had no right to call itself "Battlestar Galactica"

No matter what you think of the original, it has the right not to be made into something it's not, and Doctor Who proved that with a crew of people who care and love you can have the original cake and eat it too.

They were building sets, and Vipers when Fox made Singer go do X2, and the network's interest dried up

See Cylons that aren't cheesy CG crap, but men in suits that using modern techniques you can move in

So be happy that at a $100 SRP, and the fact that a gigantic percentage of the ever-shrinking fanbase(based on ratings) has nice HD downloads capped from Universal HD

Oh, Serenity COULD be called Firefly, but Universal wanted to have their own seperate franchise for it. They have a 10 year/3 movie license on the franchise.

Rest assured Pirates will do 100,000 copies long before Battlestar Blasphemy manages 10K
