ps3 Blu-ray remote problem - Blu-ray Forum

Sometimes, when I've been watching a Blu-ray, the ps3 Blu-ray remote stops working. I have to go to the player, eject the disc and reboot the ps3. The remote works after I reboot. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what did you do to fix it?

A few questions:
1. Have you had the remote long? If so, have you tried changing the battery?

I've had a similar issue but it started happening after excessive use. It turned out being a battery issue for me. Once I changed the battery it was fine.

2. Have you tried pushing the "PS" button to see if it re-establishes a connection?

I think there was one time I watched a movie, then played a game, then wanted to watch another movie but I couldn't get the remote to respond. It was fine once I pushed the PS button.

The only other thing I can think of is that your remote just be bad. If it is new, you should just exchange it, if possible.

The only issue I've had was dead batteries.

you shouldn't have to reboot ur PS3 to get your remote working. DO what others have mentioned, check your batteries. Or your remote could be bad.

Never had a problem with my remote. Did you set the controller/remote to turn off after a certain period time. If so, you should be able to re-activate it by holding down the PS button. Sounds like you have a bum remote.

Thanks to all who replied. The batteries are new so it could be a bad remote. It's about 9 months old, probably too late to return, I'll have to see.

i have same problem with ps3 remote
the baterries is replaced after 3 months
