Did Lucas put a gun to all your heads and force you to go?
As much as I respect you and your wonderful posts, everytime you talk about Star Wars...it makes my face turn beat RED!
I'm very happy that you enjoy the pre-quels and all. I really am. But don't force them on others.
Millions of us that were there since the very beginning really hate them and find them to be watered down.
I'll take it a step further...I personally think that the pre-quels should have never been produced. Also, George (ruined my childhood) Lucas should have never made changes to the original trilogy back in 1997.
And to answer your question...I think us vetrans still went to see the pre-quels hoping that George rediscovered his magic. It just didn't happen. Same reason why I went to see Indy:KOTCS. In the hopes that he wrote a solid story for it. Instead I went back home after the movie finished and I wanted to break something. I know that you loved the new Indy and thats all good, just keep in mind that for every new fan, there is another passionate fan that wants to burn all the film stock and pretend that it never happend.

I think I'm done now. LOL.
