Default Sony to cut PS3 price $100!
I read over at The Digital Bits that Sony will be cutting the price of its PS3 game system by $100 in August, right around the time that the new Madden NFL 2010 arrives in stores. Great news!

No, the rumored price reduction for the PS3 is $100, so the new price would be $299.

$99 is the rumored price for the PS2.

Did I happen to mention this is still just rumors and not confirmed?

If it did drop down to $299 then that would put serious pressure on both the 360 and the Wii and if they do then next thing Sony needs to do is invest more in the marketplace and online gaming segments. The 360 has a serious foothold in that area.

It say's drop price by $100.00 not to $100.00 It is a smart move, Help sell more software and sell more blu ray and doesn't Sony happen to own a movie company. Hmmmmm good business.
