I agree to an extent. I think there are many who didn't allow themselves to like BSG or the new V because they were so attached to the originals they couldn't give the new ones a try. However, my problem with SGU isn't an attachment to the originals, or that they are trying something different. It's that the pace is ridiculously slow. Nearly nothing has happened at all, and every multi part story could have easily been condensed by one or two episodes.
