The eD A2-300 is $350 shipped to your door by FedEx. That would be $700 shipped to your door for duals. You could give eD a call and they might give you a discount if you order two at the same time.

If it's mostly for movies then there are plenty of great options out there. The suggestions people have made so far are all good options. I would suggest the other possibility is getting a single nicer sub now with the budget you have available to you and consider getting a second one down the line. The reason for this is 2 fold. First, in the long run you'll be better off, especially with that huge room of yours. Second, if you get 2 subs and find out you don't like them it's twice the pain in the ass. This way you get to audition the sub before you invest in a second.

Well, what do you suggest? Brand? Size? and were to buy it from? Please. I really want something with good power, and very deep bass. |

For a room that size you want a large driver to really carry the bass. Your biggest problem is spatial attenuation, which will create a 6db SPL loss per doubling of distance (inverse square law). Because you aren't using it for music there is less strain on the need for speed or perfect reproduction, so going with a higher wattage sub that is ported with a larger driver is ideal. I would suggest getting at LEAST a 12" driver, 15 would work great as well but you're unlikely to find one in your budget. For every doubling of surface area of the driver you see a ~3db increase in SPL. It would be over your budget, but I'd suggest an ED A5s-300 if you were to go with 1 and save for a second later. For a little more SVS also has a good option with their PB12-NSD. Outlaw Audio has the LFM-1 Plus, which price wise is on par with ED. HSU has the VTF-3 MK 2, tho that might be a little too much. All 4 are good options, and there are many others out there as well. The other option as many have mentioned is getting 2 of the A2-300s.
