Take a y-adapter and split it right out of the receiver, then take two RCA's so you can do one to each sub.

Look up on Big Daddy's nicely explained thread on setting up subwoofers.

yes for a .1 receiver this is what I did. now I have a .2 YAMAHA 663. but I have 4 subwoofers now two up front and two in back. the back sub's are on the surround sound cables. having 4 sub's puting out a total of 740 watts makes the floor and walls shake.

take a look at my HT Gallery

You could sell your current Sony sub (retails for $200) and skip paying another $200 ($400) and look at getting one much better sub like the A2-300. Don't flame me for recommending it either. I'm just trying to help. But yes, multiple subs are always better than one (of the same quality).

Default Extra SUBS

YES
extra subs will fill the room where it has gaps and spaces when you bring in people in ur HT room.

It will fill in where a body may block off the other sub.

See my sig for example.

Everything I have read about having more then one sub state that they should be the same.

Mainly the same size, power and from the same maker.

Although what Hamp said is recommended, you can mix subwoofers if you have to.

Yes, you will benefit from dual subs. With one sub, you may be able to get good bass sound for one position in the room. Although you may think that the only reason people buy a second sub is for additional SPL, the main advantage of a second sub (or four subs) is to get even and pleasing bass sound for all seats in the room.

Hsu even makes a sub to get better higher end bass response and to be paired with one of their lower subs.

Extensive research by Dr. Floyd Toole and his associates at the National Research Council of Canada and Harmon International have proven that 4 subwoofers, properly positioned, will give the optimum bass sound in a small home theater room. They have demonstrated that more than 4 subs will not give you any additional benefits.

Im still waiting for an SVS pb10-nsd to be delivered.. I am currently using a bic H100 right now and I was gonna give it to a buddy but now im thinking I should keep it. Would it make a difference if I am using 2 different kind of subs.. does it really matter?? or should I just get rid of the bic? thanks to anyone that can help.

My sony sub has on the back a line in and a line out, the installation guide says that you can run a cable to a second sub from the line out. how well would that work? would there be a delay to the second sub?
