...and that is a good point.

Considering that GL used Saturday afternoon matinee corny cliffhangers like Flash Gordon as a basis for Star Wars, I think some of the underlying story ideas are pretty complex.

For me, it was how the story was told that made it confusing. Like the whole Camino scene, for example. Had no idea what was going on and I'm not sure anyone else in the theater did either.

I guess it was just to show where Boba Fett, and the Clone Troopers came from, but I was hoping to find out more about the Caminoans, and Jedi Master Sifo Dyas. I still don't know exactly what was up with that.

Yeah. So a Jedi was killed for no apparent reason a while ago who secretly ordered a clone army on a planet that was somehow erased from the Jedi Archives but the guy in charge is a bounty hunter that's hiring other bounty hunters to kill a Senator and who was actually hired by someone named Tyranus on Bogdan?

... Ok.

I think that's the point that JamesKurtovich is making. While we saw the factory and we knew (in terms of physical location) where the clones came from, the whole process of how this was all set in motion wasn't really explained at all. It was this great mystery that both Obi Wan and Yoda were stumped by, and yet we never really get a specific answer.

It's a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma!

Palpatine planned everything he purposely made sure that yoda and kenobi were no where near anakin when he started to seduce him.

He seduced him by planting seeds of doubt he also made it seem that the jedi were against him he also purposely befriended him years ago so that anakin would trust him.

He knew the jedi were going to use anakin to spy on him, and he knew anakin would get offended by it.

The straw that broke the camel's back was when they denied him a seat on the council you can see the look he gives mace.

They didn't deny him a spot on the council, they denied him the rank of Jedi Master, there is a difference.

You are on the Council but we do not grant you the rank of Master.
How can you be on the Council and not be a Master? It's outrageous!
Have a seat, young Skywalker.
Sorry, Master.

I'm not sure if this is true, but apparently Mace Windu's lightsaber has "Bad Motherf#@ker" etched into it in Star Wars language.

It has 15 letters which would be the right amount.

Yeah, that's funny. I also like the dining scene where he fetches the fruit with his tongue, or when they are in the submarine and the engine stalls.
I had a great laugh when he thinks the audience is cheering him on before the podrace in one of the deleted scenes. There are some funny bits during the final battle too. All in all, I don't mind him at all.

Once a film hits the theatre it belongs to the public as much as the creators. I have a huge repect for George Lucas and I admire all his acheivements. He can do all he wants to the SE's but he can't change history, he sould embrace it. Just as much as I should embrace his endeavours to find happiness in his alterations. Sometimes it's a tightrope balancing act where I make it to the other side. Sometimes I fall off and bang my head.
I am really glad you don't have a say....

Lucas was not commissioned by the public to make these movies to their wishes. He is an independent filmmaker who made the films for himself. He has the rights to release them the way he wants!

Another point is that if you bought a copy of Star Wars (maybe on DVD) Lucas has no intensions of coming to your home and alter these copies.

The point is that he canīt and shouldnīt be forced to release the films in ways he doesnīt want to see them released.
This.

Wow! Just wow!

I thought that sequence was one of the better parts of AotC. The fact that everything wasn't spelled out made the whole thing seem more sinister. The planet had been removed from the archives, the plot had been in progress for years, a Jedi may or may not have been involved (with or without the knowlege of the council), that Jedi may or may not have died afterall...the ambiguities here were actually pretty interesting.

As for the fact that some of it was never resolved (or may have been the result of a typo) yeah, I dunno, that doesn't bug me too much but I can see other people hating loose ends like that.

I thought it was obvious that Dooku erased the planet from the archives. Why? Because only a Jedi could erase the planet from the archives and Dooku, a former Jedi, was conspiring with Palpatine to create the clones. Jango even admits to Obi Wan that it was not Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas who hired him as the clone template, but a man named "Tyrannus."

"I was hired by a man called Tyrannus off one of the moons of Bogden."

At the end of Attack of the Clones Palpatine explicitly states to Dooku, "Welcome home, Lord Tyrannus."

How much more explicit can it get?

I also always viewed the very existence of Order 66 as a wonderfully in-your-face revelation that the clones had been Palpatine's grand design to begin with. The Order 66 sequence plays like a confessional scene for Palpatine, where the viewer finally makes sense of the true purpose behind the whole Clone Wars.

Yeah, all of that is pretty obvious, but I still was expecting to find out more about Sifo Dyas.

I'm calling fake and fan-made on that saber - and a bad one at that. None of the PT lightsabers had that "used" look to them, like with the OT. I take that back - Yoda's from ROTS had minor weathering, and Maul's battle-damaged lightsaber. Everyone else's, including Mace's, was pristine. The stunt sabers look better than that.

I owned a licensed replica of Mace's lightsaber up until a few years ago and that wasn't etched into the hilt and this was an exact copy of the screen used prop.
