I'd say its presumed that the vast majority of the Empire served the Emperor out of fear more so than loyalty. Once the Emperor was destroyed it would only be logical that the Empire would be dismantled.

See Thrawn/Heir to the Empire Trilogy (IMO still one of, if not the best Expanded Universe story).

It was supposed to be comical at first. He was throwing Luke off to test his patience. Once he revealed his identity, his speech was much more serious. This is something most imitators miss--they keep him in "comic" mode.

Not exactly what I meant. I think I remember even in Episode I he had a similar voice to the OT, but it improved in II & III. I just keep picturing Grover.

He released them on DVD though, didnt he? Without much fanfare or ads if i remember correctly, I was working at Best Buy at the time.

He has never said he WON'T release them again.

To a lot of hardcore fans, that release didn't count because they weren't anamorphic...

And they had a point becuse they should have been. And it was not hard core Star Wars fans it was hard core Movie and DVD fans. There was no reason in 2006 a DVD should not have been anamorphic.

YouTube - Yoda fears the darkside
Yeah, he did kind of revert there, didn't he?

We have had our disagreements in the past, but I agree with you 100% in this matter. Off topic a bit, if I recall correctly, True Lies and The Abyss haven't been presented in anamorphic either. That is really strange.

Rumor has it that the ABYSS will arrive on BD by the 4th quarter.

Also regarding the 'shooting straight' issue...Princess Leia apparently had the highest accuracy in the gang, with the most Stormtroopers blasted.

It's been mentioned before, but the Stormtroops shoot pretty good when it's nameless Rebels on the Princess' ship at the beginning of ANH. Those guys were dropping like flies, as was the rest of Red and Gold squadrons and the various pilots and "she's gonna blow!" guy in RotJ. The AT-AT and Snowtroopers seem to do ok on Hoth, too. It's just the main characters, who are protected by The Plot™, which is a common device in action movies. Iron Man, for example, gets hit but never seems to get hurt, despite the absurdity of his man-scale armor being able to take tank rounds, etc.

Too bad the rebels couldn't return the favor. In the very first shooting scene, an entire hall full of them couldn't direct their fire into the hole that the stormtroopers blasted through the door. They managed to bag one guy. Probably not candidates for Seal Team Six.

It's not officially open yet. Consider it previews. Opens on friday.

Unfortunately we got the same planets both times...tatooine and naboo. So, yes, we got it.

We also saw the falcon, yoda and vader.
My friends went on it today and got leia, hoth, kashyyk, coruscant, the death star and kamino.

Well...that's what I always thought until I was in an electronics store a few weeks ago when Spike HD was playing Episode I and unlike when I saw it in a theatre, in HD it was painfully obvious that Yoda was a puppet, because the resolution was high enough to show that he was made out of rubber. And I think on Blu-ray, assuming it's all restored in proper hi-def and all, it's going to be even worse. The only part of Yoda that was believable was his eyes - they looked real.

It's sort of like when people have their TVs configured to get the "soap opera effect". To me it destroys the "suspension of disbelief" that occurs when you're watching a movie on film.
