I like the image of the 2004 jabba from the blu-ray and also the other 2 images from ESB and from ROTJ of the saber cross they look really detailed and they are much better than the dvd release.

To be fair, it's roughly 4 years later also. So he's packed on a lot of extra weight.

Haha, yeah I could buy that lol but I was mainly referring to his skin color and eyes still being a little off.

Yeah, I certainly can see it. But the tweaks made for the Blu-Ray helped a lot to make the colors more accurate.

Yeah I agree with you on that, it did help. The Blu-Ray cgi Jabba looks better that it ever has.

Could someone post a link to these new blu-ray screencaps that you're talking about? I looked through the last few pages, and couldn't find one.

Thanks.

I didn't know how to take that phrase, but Jabba does have a tattoo on his right arm in ROTJ

The Jabba one is at the top of this page actually, its comparing the 04 one to the Blu-Ray. I am curious where people are getting these blu-ray images from though. Can someone link the website they found the blu-ray images?

It's from StarWars.Com's official You Tube Page. The Brazil page has the new pics.

The Han/Jabba one from ANH. The Lando/Boba one from ESB. And the Crossed Sabers one from ROTJ.

I never thought I'd hear that one, lol. I thought it was neat to include the scene after the years that had past but Jabba wasn't even close to being passable (IMO ).

The Special Editions were all released in 5.1 Dolby Digital/DTS/SDDS. They all had stereo surround effects. This mix carried over to the 1997 LaserDisc AC-3 version.

That was all well and good until he shows up in The Phantom menace, quarter of a century earlier and fat as ever.

Yeah that '97 mix sounded great, what makes it necessary to trash that one and start over?

Actually it's the exact same CGI model for TPM and ANH. So he's not fatter in TPM. So that's not quite accurate.

Ok thank you very much! I had been on that site before but that pic never came up under United States. I would have never thought selecting brazil would have given me more picture options.

Except for some of the sound effects that they forgot to add back into that particular mix.

I found some pics from TPM, and yeah you're right. My memory was playing tricks on me.
