It being so popular is precisely why they will flood the stores with it, I doubt this is sold out anywhere. They want to push as many copies as possible, and selling out in 3 days then having people wait for the next batch isn't good business.

This isn't a Nintendo Wii.

Here is how I see it;
George Lucas takes a big dump on all Star Wars Fans, we complain about it to no avail, but we eventually take it in all its forms.
I do wish that "Star Wars" was coming to BluRay!!

Will watch in this order
Star Wars
Empire Strikes Back
Jedi
Menace
Clones
Sith...

And then I'll never watch the prequels again. After buying them on DVD, I watched them once and never played them again.

I'm really torn on this set. I might buy it for the prequels and ESB and just keep my DVDs for ANH and ROTJ, but if the CG looks as bad as some people have been saying...
The CG looks the same as it always has, but High Definition makes it stand out more from the background. Besides that, it seemed cutting edge in 1997 or whatever but looks cheesy now.

If you dealt with them on the 1997 DVDs you should be able to deal with them now.

I have said this for a two weeks, no matter how many "Bad" mistakes this set has, it will STILL get a 5/5 score because it is Star Wars.

Even if the math doesn't line up right.....

Thumbs down Reviews

I find it funny how I am seeing reviews here and on sites such as Best Buy from customers who have yet to purchase these titles or have even watched them.

As I said (I can't even find my post to catch up )

How much are you looking for 1&2 (from a pq,aq standpoint) to bring down the score

Then ask yourself how much do you want the "movie" score of 1-3 to bring down the overall on 4-6.

There will never be a unified consensus because you will always have those who:

A. Won't care if a lightsaber changes from a dark red to a light red (if that's not a calibration/ TV issue, as its clear a REAL calibration will change the TV compared to someone who popped open a box from bestbuy and tried to use the Disney disk).

B. Are so angry at 1-3 and Lucas for changing things, that they're just looking for reason's to say its a fail.

C. And you get dummies who either hate a movie and post reviews on sites like bestbuy, or they buy the blu-ray and get mad because they still have a dvd player so they give it all zero's or one's.

And finally everyone picks up on colors/ sound differently.

I was merely being sarcastic.I don't think it will be a long wait, "Star Wars" will never ever be released on bluray. As I said before, Mr. Lucas has taken a dump on all us fans, we complain ad nauseum, but take it anyway, and he laughs all the way to the bank. He owns all of us.
Oh but it is not over by a long shot. How about STAR WARS 3D? By the time that comes out on bluray or what ever we have at that time, it will be completely changed so we can not recognize it.

There are two sides to that coin, my friend.

If you don't love every change Lucas made to SW, or accept the PQ as "reference" sight unseen, you're a 'hater with an agenda' and 'not a TRUE Star Wars fan'.

Don't act like "one side" of this argument is somehow more noble, I've seen just as much mud-slinging from either side.
