BD-J (Blu-ray Disc Java) is a full programming environment. You can theoretically create a BD-J application to emulate HDi. BD-J offers a much more flexible environment for UI and menu development.

then i wouldn't mind if the programmers create something similar to that dash board look. The standard menu bar is sooooo standard dvd looking.
