I don't know, it just seems to me that Deadpool would be better suited for shorts, sort of how Pixar shows a short before each of their films. The zaniness probably works better in short bursts, but we'll see.

This is really my main fear as well. Some writers nail Deadpool and some end up failing hard. Hopefully this is the former.

I have absolutely no idea who Deadpool is, what he's supposed to be, etc. Sure, I've seen X-Men Origins: Wolverine but everyone says they totally screwed up his character in that.

Just watched the Deadpool trailer and I was... not expecting that. I didn't realize he was supposed to be funny. But I had a bemused smile on my face throughout the whole thing. This could be really good.

Ive seen some great Deadpool cosplays over the years, so I am expecting perfection from Ryan Reynolds here.

Just to be clear, I'm not hating on this movie. In fact, I'm fully in support of it and want it to be good. I just hope it's not just an immature comedy, even if the character is immaturely humorous. I want it to be funny. I just want something more than just that. Hopefully, we'll get that.

I have now seen both the red and green band trailers, and I'm less assured than I was before the trailers came out. Reynolds and Miller will rock it, but I'm unsure of how the serious tone of the beginning worked with the childish comedy. I realize it needs to fit in with the other X-Men movies tonally but I just kinda wish it was something else. Perhaps if it wasn't the origin? I don't know. The stuff from the leaked test video seemed out of place. I just wish that they redid it verbatim and made that the opening scene, picked up from there. Still hope the movie is excellent. Will see it opening day.

I think these trailers did exactly what they needed to do. These are not the trailers for the general public these were the trailers to reassure the Actual Deadpool fans that they understand they F'd up but they get it now and here is the proof you are looking for to confirm that Deadpool will actually be in this movie this time. oh and here is mother f'n Colossus just for good measure.

I have more hope for the X-Men Cinematic Universe then I do for DC....

First Class & Days of Futures Past were both very good movies. And so far what we have seen of Deadpool and Apocalypse looks really solid.
