Sony 920 399-599
Onkyo 805 700-1000
Denon 3808 $1600
pioneer 1018 $599
pioneer elite 92 $1299

But "good affordable" is relative to what you want to do and spend. A Safe pick on the low end is the Onkyo 606 or the Sony 920, they both process DTS-HD, DD True HD and LPCM(multi-channel PCM), both are full band width receivers, both have 4 HDMI inputs. My wife will tell me my "good affordable" would be below $700 which puts me into the Sony 920 Or Onkyo's listed above.

High end you have prolly a lot more options Denon 3808, Pioneer Elite, Sony ES line, Marantz. If your looking into HIGH end products, try to catch RUR, Driver King, Perch, or Crackin, they seem to be pretty knowledgable about AV and are on the site regularly.
Good starter info kind sir/ma'am
