I agree. It could have been Duke, from G.I. Joe

If people somehow didn't get any level of enjoyement from this BD release maybe they should reconsider their standards.

Holy crap the transfer is simply flawless, it was an incredible experience, goosebumps even. But I didn't buy it, my chickfriend did, so I'll just wait for the November release and totally look forward to the extra 6 minutes and the unfinished scenes even, plus the extras of course

Same here. And on repeat viewings (I'm up to 7 now), I especially enjoy watching how Neytiri reacts in certain situations. My favorite so far is when her mother (Mo'at) tells her she is responsible for teaching Jake Sully the ways of the Na'vi People. Neytiri's petulant grunt/facial response looks like it might have come from a human girl her own age. Which, come to think of it, it did!

My second favorite is Neytiri's response when Tsu'tey says that "Jake Sully will go first," in the scene where the young Na'vi Warrior Initiates have gone to select and bond with their own personal Ikrans. Neytiri briefly gives Tsu'tey a dirty look as she passes by him to accompany Jake on his quest, and it always makes me laugh when I watch the two scenes I just mentioned.

If you like Sci-Fi, I'd say yes. I'm sure others would disagree (and probably will), but that's my opinion.

Yes.

This is what Blu-ray is about. Though I'm not one of those that's saying it's the best movie ever, but I will say that it definitely has an important place in history.
The world created in this movie is so visually believable, that's the strongest aspect of the movie, the visuals, verisimilitude 100% if that makes any sense.
Rent it at the very least.

Pretty much what Blu-Moon said. I would say yes in a heartbeat, but there will be others that think differently of course.

I like the part when she is first teaching Jake how to ride one of the 'horses'. After he falls off the first time, Tsu'tey has some kind of a smart remark to make. Then we he (Tsu'tey) starts riding off Neytiri has this half-smile on her face while Jake is wiping all the mud off of him.

Your post reminds me of something I'ved wondered about, ever since Terminator Salvation came out. Namely, how much was Arnold paid for using his likeness in CGI form?

That's yet another memorable scene, and another good reason why Avatar continues to resonate the way it does with so many people around the world!

Did anybody else think the dialogue in this sounded sorta processed or something? Sounded kinda muffled to me at times, like talking in a tin can? Wanna make sure it's not my center.

Will the release in November contain a 3D version of the movie? Does anyone have a link for information on this upcoming release?

No, the November release will just be Special edition, movie with bonus features, etc. The 3D release is slated for 2011.

All of these releases and re-releases seem stupid to me. James Cameron is a money grubbing pile of douche!

Easy, don't buy them then...
We all have free will, so why should this bother us?

Listen, this film has made more money than any other film to date. Look how many blu ray copies were sold and look how much it made in the Theater. Only reason people are scared of buying it is its AWESOME

I don't know if you like boxing or not but look at Floyd Mayweather Jr. Everyone wants to see him lose because he's Great and the Best.

This is not different from AVATAR. Its big, bold, one of a kind, and its the Best in the Game according to sales and box office numbers. Remember everyone isn't on the internet debating wether or not the movie is good, thats why you have to use overall numbers. Thats the only way to get a world vote of how good a movie is, or some type of ideal how good a movie is.
