I bought the first one. A couple of discs were scratched thanks to those crappy card sleeves they are stored in, and the second discs from the Iron Man films were missing, replaced with a single inferior bonus disc. Real poor value. I knew this set would be just as bad...

I want this but their price is crazy. I got Phase 1 originally on release date for around $120 plus a free copy of The Avengers (because of the case mess-up).

Same amount of films in this one with a couple of extra 3D copies compared to the first one.

I want this and waited for it but it's going to have to hit $120 or less before I pick it up.

Default The marvel 3d films

Obviously in recent years, Dr Strange , Ragnarok, Ant man have been reference discs, but until Dr strange id always avoided the marvel 3d films as i had the general idea from reviews that they were v weak.

Anyone know which are good, which are ok and which are v mild?

Planning on buying the older ones to complete the set but not too fussed if they are weak.

Thanks in advance

It's all relative to be honest but I've found the 3D in every 3D Marvel movie to be worthwhile and even the weakest have something to offer and are far superior to the 2D versions.

Ant-Man was pre-Doctor Strange. I find that the conversions get better as they go along really so the first Guardians Of The Galaxy is probably the best from that period (and the first with IMAX scenes) but I enjoyed them all more than the 2D versions.

The weakest for me were the first and second Captain America films and Avengers: Age Of Ultron but again, these still have their moments and play much better in 3D than they do in 2D.

As Levcore said, they're all worth grabbing as the 3d is nice across the board. If you don't have them already, the Guardians of the Galaxy films are beautiful to look at and have great 3d. One of them came out before Dr Strange so you may have passed over them

I love the 3D in ALL the Marvel fans and have always scratched my head when I hear disparaging comments.

I just recently picked up Phase 2 for $120.00. It was down to $180 and I got $60 off for opening an Amazon store card.

I couldn’t justify spending tons of money on movies I already owned several copies of. People consistently as $800+ on eBay (which no one would EVER pay) but then it jacks up the average selling price. Last week there were several for $299 and then three people asked $1,200 and not the cheapest copy is 399.99. I just simply refuse to pay more than $200 + shipping. These were limited enough to justify those kinds of prices. Nice to know about the disc error ahead of time!

Default Mcu 3d

Despite the movies themselves being a bit up and down, the MCU has just gotten better and better in terms of providing us with great 3D conversions. So rank the MCU in terms of their 3D presentations/ Blu Rays from favourite to least favourite! We're lucky in that only 3 MCU movies are not available in 3D.
